Katie Marks will be joining the association on January 2 as its new executive director. Marks worked for PRVCGA as communications manager under both Barbara Carlton and Himrod, before serving as executive director of the Arcadia Rodeo Association.

“This is great news for the industry and for PRVCGA, as Ms. Himrod will be working with the association through her new position, and Mrs. Marks will be bringing her executive experience and knowledge of the association with her as she fills the role of executive director,” says the association’s president, Lenny Lempenau. “We are expecting a very smooth transition and will be moving forward confident that we can continue with great work and create new innovative ways to represent the Florida citrus grower.”

My mission will be to continue to represent the Florida citrus grower and to defend and promote our product, which is the best in the world. Our growers, our fruit, and our orange juice are truly second to none. I believe in this industry and our growers. We have a bright future ahead.”

PRVCGA members are invited to stop by and visit with Himrod and Marks at the association’s Holiday Citrus Reception on December 15 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the PRVCGA office.
