The International Citrus Business Conference, presented by Morris Agribusiness Services and AgNet Media, will provide information to help citrus professionals adapt to industry challenges.

Ricardo Martinez Zambrano, a third-generation owner of Citrofrut, will be speaking at the event. Zambrano leads Citrofrut’s North American citrus sales, where he has developed a strong passion for the citrus industry.

Zambrano earned his chemical engineering degree from Monterrey’s Technological Institute, and his MBA from Yale University. His presentation at the conference on March 27 will take a historic look at the diversity of citrus crops in Mexico. He will also examine how HLB is affecting Mexico and the steps being taken there against the disease.

There are two key aspects Zambrano believes will help push the citrus industry forward. The first is examining the effects of HLB. The second is taking away the stigma from consumers surrounding sugar levels in juices. He plans to use research to give consumers a better idea of the benefits of juice.

At the International Citrus Business Conference, people from all around the world are coming together to discuss the citrus problems they are facing and the possible solutions that can be created. The conference will be held March 27–28 at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. For more information on the event and to register, visit the website.
