CEU
Airblast applications can result in drift and exposure to unprotected people, including the applicator if not properly protected.

With training classes cancelled due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements, restricted-use pesticide license holders are finding it challenging to get enough continuing education unit (CEU) credits to keep their licenses active.

Help is here! Citrus Industry magazine has published a new CEU Central article. Read the article and pass the 20-question test to earn one free continuing education unit in the Core category toward the Florida restricted-use pesticide license.

The new article, titled “Avoiding harmful effects of pesticides” can be found online here and in the May issue of Citrus Industry magazine. Written by University of Florida/Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Extension agent Juanita Popenoe, the article will not only grant a CEU, it will also help you stay safer when applying pesticides. Topics addressed include risk assessment, ways to minimize exposure and identification of exposure symptoms.

Please allow two weeks to process your CEU request. The article will be valid for a CEU for one year.
