Citrus Expo Registration Opens June 1

Tacy Callies Citrus Expo

Expo

The 28th annual Citrus Expo is quickly approaching! AgNet Media, organizer of the event, is excited to once again bring the citrus industry together.

Citrus Expo will take place Aug. 14–15 at the Lee Civic Center in North Fort Myers, Florida. All pre-registered growers will automatically be entered for a chance to win a John Deere gun safe, courtesy of Everglades Equipment Group. Registration opens June 1! Visit www.CitrusExpo.net/registration to register.

The Citrus Expo educational program is designed to provide growers with the information they need to be successful and profitable. With the help of University of Florida researchers from the Citrus Research and Education Center, the program will bring growers the latest research to help them meet their goals. Attendees will again have the opportunity to earn continuing education units. The seminar program theme is “Growing Stronger.” As the industry conquers its challenges, the growers and their crops will continue to grow stronger.

Learning about citrus production practices isn’t the only item on the agenda for this year’s event. Growers are also invited to attend the general session, which will address topics such as labor, water and hemp. Hemp has been a hot topic this year in agricultural circles, and that will continue at Citrus Expo. AgNet Media is pleased to have Holly Bell, director of cannabis for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, as a featured speaker in the hemp discussion. As this crop continues to pique growers’ interest, Citrus Expo aims to answer questions about the legal status of hemp, as well as how it will fare in the Sunshine State.

To enhance learning opportunities for attendees, Citrus Expo will feature hands-on demonstrations during the second afternoon of the event. This will be a great chance for growers to get up close and personal with the science that helps their groves thrive. Stay tuned for more information on the demonstrations, coming soon.

Citrus Expo will also provide growers with several networking opportunities on the trade show floor. While making industry connections, attendees will see the latest services and products available to them. With over 200 exhibitors, this is set to be the biggest trade show in the industry. Be sure to stick around for a networking reception on the tradeshow floor at the end of the first day of the expo.

Limited exhibitor space and sponsorships are available. Find out how your business can be a part of Citrus Expo by calling 352-671-1909.
