Nominations for the Florida Citrus Hall of Fame class of 2022 are due by Nov. 1, 2021, just four days before the class of 2021 is inducted.

Eligible nominees are industry leaders who made significant contributions to the Florida citrus industry as pioneers or in the areas of harvesting, packing, processing, marketing, science or education. Nominations received after Nov. 1 will be considered for the following year.

Nomination forms are available by contacting Florida Citrus Hall of Fame Executive Director Brenda Eubanks Burnette at 561-351-4314 or by visiting the Florida Citrus Hall of Fame website.

Completed applications may be e-mailed to Burnette; or hard copies of nominations can be sent to Florida Citrus Hall of Fame, P.O. Box 1576, Bartow, FL 33831-1576.

This year’s induction ceremonies were delayed from the traditional March date due to COVID-19. The ceremonies are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 5 in the George W. Jenkins Field House at Florida Southern College in Lakeland. The luncheon ceremony is co-sponsored by the Florida Department of Citrus and Florida Citrus Mutual.

Inductees for this year are John Jackson, the late Lew Prosser, Adam Putnam and Steve Sorrells. Learn more about this year’s inductees.

Tickets are available here and are $125 for individual patron seating or $1,700 for a sponsor table. A sponsor table includes preferred seating for eight people, table signage and a listing in the program.
