A nomination meeting for the Citrus Administrative Committee (CAC) will be held via Zoom at 10 a.m. on April 21. The meeting may be accessed here.
Nominations for all grower districts, as well as a shipper/handler meeting, will be conducted. The CAC Nominating Committee has offered a draft slate for consideration, but additional nominations are encouraged and can be offered during the meeting. Growers can place votes for members and alternate members in any district in which they produce citrus fruit for the fresh market.
Candidates offered by the Nominating Committee are:
District 1: member Paul Fabry and alternate Emery Smith; member Keith Mixon and alternate Jerry Mixon. District 1 is composed of Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Hernando, Citrus, Sumter, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Marion counties and that part of the counties of Brevard and Volusia not included in Regulation Area II in the Indian River District.
District 2: member Ron Mahan and alternate Ed Leotti; member John Paul and alternate Matt Machata; member David Wheeler and alternate Lindsay Raley. District 2 is composed of Manatee, Sarasota, Hardee, Highlands, Okeechobee, Glades, De Soto, Charlotte, Lee, Hendry, Collier, Monroe, Dade and Broward counties and that part of the counties of Palm Beach, Martin and Indian River not included in Regulation Area II in the Indian River District.
District 3: member Doug Feek and alternate Jordan Feek; member Kevin Koppelman and alternate Alex Heller; member Melanie Ressler and alternate Sydney Allison; member Jon Marone and alternate Dave Haller. District 3 is composed of St. Lucie County and that part of the counties of Brevard, Indian River, Martin, Palm Beach and Volusia lying within Regulation Area II in the Indian River District.
Shipper nominees are member Quentin Roe and alternate Adam Roe; member Jimmy Martin and alternate Greg Nelson; member John Stephens and alternate Jon Arost; member Tom Mitchell and alternate Dan Richey; member Rus Gravlee and alternate Frank Transchilla; member Al Finch and alternate Steve Callaham; member Frank Hunt and alternate Daniel Hunt; member Jeff Hancock and alternate Larry Black.
