Growers and industry leaders should mark their calendars for this year’s Citrus & Specialty Crop Expo scheduled for Aug. 17–18 at the Lee Civic Center in North Fort Myers, Florida.
Complimentary registration is available for all growers, packers, shippers, processors, association members and university researchers.
Josh McGill, show director, discusses why industry members should attend this year’s event.
“We’re really looking forward to the 2022 Citrus & Specialty Crop Expo this year. We have an almost sold-out trade show at this point. This is a terrific event for growers to come out and get CEU (continuing education unit) credits, hear some great seminars and visit the trade show to see the exhibitors,” McGill said. “It’s also a good opportunity for them to network with peers. We will have meals provided, breakfast and lunch, both days.
“We also have a networking reception Wednesday afternoon where attendees will have the chance to unwind, grab a drink and network with some of their fellow peers.”
Educational seminars will be presented over the two-day event. Speakers will provide timely updates on the most pertinent trends affecting the citrus and specialty crop industries. See the full seminar schedule.
“We are excited about this year’s seminar sessions. We’ll be bringing back the general session in the morning. That’s going to cover topics for both citrus and specialty crop growers. We have some big names coming to talk about some of the most pressing issues specific to agriculture, like input costs and disruptions with the supply chain,” McGill said.
“Then, Wednesday afternoon, we’re going to split into two concurrent sessions,” explained McGill. “We will have citrus sessions going on, and at the same time, we will have vegetable and specialty crop sessions. That will continue on Thursday morning.”
Preregistration closes Friday, August 12, 2022, at 11:59 a.m.
