Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association’s (FFVA) Florida Specialty Crop Foundation is seeking applicants for Class 14 of the Emerging Leader Development Program (ELDP).
Launched in 2011, the program identifies and develops leaders to be strong advocates for Florida agriculture. Sessions provide a wealth of information about the many issues facing the industry and equip members to communicate about agriculture. Ultimately, ELDP graduates can get involved to strengthen the future of specialty crop agriculture and grassroots engagement in FFVA and other industry organizations.
The application deadline is June 14. Interested candidates should fill out the application form and the written agreement form and send them to Sonia.Tighe@ffva.com.
The suggested age for participation in the program is 25 to 45. Applicants must be part of an FFVA member’s family or their company and must be working in or pursuing a career in Florida specialty crop agriculture. The class size is based on the recommendation of the program director to the FFVA Leadership Development Committee.
The Class 14 ELDP schedule runs from Nov. 12, 2024 to Sept. 11, 2025. Specific sessions will be:
- FFVA 101, regarding current issues, Nov. 12–14, 2024, at FFVA offices in Maitland
