Syngenta Seeks Citrus Interns for Summer

Syngenta Crop Protection has announced it is accepting applications for its summer 2025 citrus internship program. These are paid internships offering hands-on experience in the agriculture industry.

Applications can be made online. Applicants should complete the survey and upload their resumes here. The deadline for applying is Nov. 8, 2024. 

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIPS

Interns are assigned to mentors and territories for their summer projects. They will gain experience with territory management along with pest and disease identification. Syngenta provides interns with a vehicle for work use.

The internships present opportunities to gain sales and marketing experience and exposure to the citrus industry, as well as opportunities within Syngenta Crop Protection. The summer citrus internship focus will be on:

  • Pest scouting support for the miticides/insecticides Minecto Pro, Voliam Flexi, Agri-Flex and Agri-Mek
  • Soil sampling support for the fungicides Ridomil and Orondis
LIST OF QUALIFICATIONS

Those seeking an internship should:

  • Plan to seek future employment in Florida agriculture
  • Have basic familiarity with production agriculture
  • Have basic familiarity with pest, disease and weed control
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Be willing to work outdoors
  • Be self-motivated, detail oriented, honest and personable
  • Have the ability to relocate to or originally be from one of these Florida counties: Polk, Highlands, Hardee, Desoto, Hendry, Collier, Lee, Okeechobee, Martin, Osceola, St. Lucie or Indian River
  • Be a college sophomore or junior; seniors will also be considered
  • Have satisfactory results of a pre-employment background check, drug test and driving record evaluation
