Tallahassee with elected officials and state leaders during the legislative session. They will also travel to the heart of California’s agricultural region to get an even broader perspective. Class 14 will graduate at FFVA’s annual convention in September 2025.
The suggested age for participation in the ELDP is 25 to 45. Applicants must be part of an FFVA member’s family or their company and must be working in or pursuing a career in Florida specialty crop agriculture.
ELDP, administered by the Florida Specialty Crop Foundation, was created in 2011 to identify and develop leaders to be strong advocates for Florida agriculture. It has provided more than 150 leaders with an immersive experience on the many issues facing the industry and taught them how to be leaders within FFVA. Eleven graduates have gone on to serve at the highest level within FFVA, as members of the board of directors.
