The Florida Citrus Show is a day packed full of educational opportunities. It includes a morning general session focused on big-picture topics that impact specialty crop growers as well as afternoon breakout seminars for citrus and vegetable producers. In addition, the event provides a great opportunity for growers to interact with fellow farmers and industry stakeholders, which is an equally valuable component of the meeting.
Over the past two years, the addition of the tailgate-style lunch in the outdoor exhibitor area has enhanced the social aspect of the meeting. Much like a tailgate at a sporting event, many of the exhibitors will be serving snacks from their booths. This has been a popular addition to the show because it offers a fun environment to network and to visit the vendors who help make the event possible.
There’s also a friendly competition among exhibitors to see who gets the most votes for best food during the lunch break. The winning vendor takes home a cash prize, and attendees who vote for their favorite foods will be entered into a drawing for $500 just for participating. Don’t miss the fun at the Florida Citrus Show! Take advantage of the opportunity to share ideas with your fellow growers.
