Syngenta Seeks Summer 2026 Citrus Interns

Syngenta Crop Protection is recruiting citrus interns in Florida for summer 2026. Paid interns will gain hands-on experience in the agriculture industry.

Each intern will be assigned to a mentor and a territory for a summer project and be provided a vehicle for work use. 

Interns will gain experience in territory management along with pest and disease identification. The internships present opportunities to gain sales and marketing experience, exposure to the citrus industry and opportunities within Syngenta Crop Protection.

The intern focus in summer 2026 will be on pest scouting support (miticides/insecticides) for the products Minecto Pro, Voliam Flexi, Agri-Flex and Agri-Mek, and on soil sampling support (fungicides) for the products Ridomil and Orondis.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications for interns include:

  • Seeking future employment in the Florida agriculture industry
  • Basic familiarity with production agriculture
  • Basic familiarity with pest, disease and weed control
  • Basic computer skills
  • Willingness to work outdoors
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, honest and personable
  • Ability to relocate to or originally be from one of the following Florida counties: Polk, Highlands, Hardee, Desoto, Hendry, Collier, Lee, Okeechobee, Martin, Osceola, St. Lucie or Indian River
  • College sophomore or junior level (but seniors will also be considered)
  • Satisfactory results of a pre-employment background check, drug test and driving record evaluation
