What You Need to Know for the 2025–26 Trunk-Injection Season

Q: With the 2025–26 trunk-injection season near, what steps can be taken to make the ReMedium TI® injections the most effective for increased fruit yield and quality?

A: The basics of the injection are still the same:

1. When preparing the acidified mixture that contains ReMedium TI®, make sure the product is formulated as close to 1.8 pH as possible.
2. It is best to use either reverse osmosis or distilled water to formulate the ReMedium TI® acidified mixture. Water quality is very important to maintain purity in the formulation and maximize the therapeutic response.
3. After the acidified mixture of ReMedium TI® is prepared, it needs to be used as quickly as possible. The packaging of ReMedium TI® is a pre-packed 165 gram size to make 15-liter to 30-liter batches depending on the need for the 11,000 parts per million (ppm) mixture or the 5,500 ppm mixture. The packaging allows for easy small-batch sizes to ensure each batch gets used the day of mixing.
4. Take care that the volume of liquid injected into the tree is proper for the tree size.
5. Use the FLexInject® injection device to provide maximum environmental protection for the acidified ReMedium TI® mixture. FLexInject® provides active ingredient protection from ultraviolet light that can degrade the product. The closed shell design of the injector can help to slow the heating of the product inside the device while it is under the tree waiting for the injector to be inserted into the tree.

There is one factor that is new in the injection realm. Research conducted at the University of Florida shows that injection timing may be very important to maximize results. In short, it appears that waiting for a short period of time after harvest may be the more effective timing than immediately after harvest.
