The Florida Citrus Show returns on Thursday, March 12. In addition to citrus, the show has added educational seminars dedicated to small fruit and vegetable production to better serve growers in the region and beyond.
The event will be held at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Indian River Research and Education Center and the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service U.S. Horticultural Research Laboratory in Fort Pierce.
Researchers from both institutions work closely with growers in the area and are developing the specialty crop seminars around some of the pressing production issues growers face. The program also will feature research on new crop opportunities that will be of interest to specialty crop growers. Stay tuned for more details soon when the full agenda is released.
In addition to the educational programming, the Florida Citrus Show includes an outdoor exhibit area of vendors who supply inputs, products and services that citrus and specialty crop growers need to produce successful crops.
