Question: Are there any updates on the performance of ReMedium TI® and citrus yield improvements?

Answer: We are hearing from growers about groves in central and southern Florida where they are observing HLB recovery. I am getting reports from growers that have been steadfast users of ReMedium TI® that seem to be in agreement with much of the replicated research data that has been produced over the last couple of years.

Previously, I mentioned the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) data that revealed ReMedium TI® applied alone produced a better yield response than adding other chemistries to improve Brix or yield.

I have also noted data from University of Florida entomologist Lukasz Stelinski that showed ReMedium TI® performed statistically better than Rectify® in both year 1 and year 2 of injection.

The reports from growers tell a similar story of results, but the discussion is more about tree recovery year over year than specific performance data. For instance, one report came in on Hamlin production that showed about 70% higher yield this year compared to last year with more than 275 boxes per acre. Quality was 5% better on pounds solids.

These yield results follow what we know about ReMedium TI® and its path toward helping trees recover from HLB. First, the therapy helps roots recover and build structure, which takes some time. As the roots recover, nutrient uptake improves, which is followed by yield increases and economic benefits.

If you haven’t experienced ReMedium TI® in your grove, I want to encourage you to take a serious look at the performance of trunk injections using this product. I think you will be glad that you did.
