A highlight of the event is the array of foods served at the vendor booths.

The 2026 Florida Citrus Show provides great educational opportunities for both citrus and small fruit and vegetable growers. The event is also an excellent opportunity to network with peers and learn about the latest goods and services available from the industry.

The trade show portion of the event will be presented again this year in a tailgate format, which has received great reviews from attendees. The format allows for more casual interactions between vendors and attendees. About 50 exhibitors are expected to be on hand.

One of the big highlights of the show is that vendors provide showgoers with tastes of various types of food at their booths during the lunch break. Growers vote on their favorite dish, and the winning exhibitor earns a $500 cash prize. Growers get a chance to win, too. Growers who vote in the contest get entered into a drawing for $500.

“The tailgate is great fun, and we’ve seen some excellent dishes served by the vendors who support the show,” says Robin Loftin, president of AgNet Media. “It has proven to be a great way to allow growers and vendors to interact in a more relaxed atmosphere.”

The Florida Citrus Show is scheduled for March 12. The event will be held at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Indian River Research and Education Center and the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service U.S. Horticultural Research Laboratory in Fort Pierce.
