As the Citrus Achievement Award celebrates its 26th year, AgNet Media is seeking nominations for this year’s winner. The award has grown into the gold standard of industry recognition for those who have made and continue to make a significant impact within and even beyond the Florida citrus community.
The Citrus Achievement Award is presented to an individual grower, allied member, legislator, researcher, or anyone else who stands out through leadership, innovation, dedication and active participation on behalf of the citrus industry.
We need your help to select the next honoree. Please let us know who the 2026 Citrus Achievement Award winner should be and why. If you have someone in mind you would like to nominate, please email Frank Giles at Frank@AgNetMedia.com. As always, we thank you for your feedback and time.
The winner will be featured as the June Specialty Crop Grower cover story. Subsequently, the award will be presented during the Florida Citrus Industry Annual Conference in June.

Last year’s winner, Ben Albritton, rallied the industry to “make citrus great again” in his role as president of the Florida Senate. He played a key part in passing legislation that provided record funding to support Florida’s citrus industry. Most of those dollars flowed to fund the Citrus Research and Field Trial (CRAFT) programs, which many consider a lifeline to the industry.
