Question: Does the purity level of ReMedium TI® help aid the therapeutic response to citrus greening with trees that are under environmental stress?

Answer: During the research and development phase of ReMedium TI®, several things were observed that pertain to this question.

First, trees that have been under relatively severe stress do have slower uptake of ReMedium TI®. This is apparently because the metabolism of the tree is sluggish. When impurities are present in the active ingredient (AI) that is being injected into the tree, the uptake can be even slower. This can become a problem resulting in less effective distribution of the AI in the tree.

Second, the reduced distribution of the AI can increase the sectoring of the uptake in the tree. This can result in some parts of the tree suffering very minimal relief from the bacterium that causes citrus greening disease.

Third, the decision to use a high-quality oxytetracycline in the ReMedium TI® formulation points back to some of these same observations being made during research and development in spite of a slightly higher input cost.

Again, the early research data and observations suggested that a small increase in input cost because of the increase in purity level could pay big dividends by way of increased yield performance.

Data continues to emerge showing that the high quality of ReMedium TI® can increase revenue by as much as a dollar or sometimes even dollars per tree for an additional cost of only a few cents per tree. The biggest cost of trunk injection is labor. Therefore, spending a little more for quality to maximize return to produce a profit makes good sense. Remember, the objective is to achieve the result that produces the greatest profit.
