Citrus and specialty crop growers will have a great opportunity this summer to gather, learn and connect at the Citrus & Specialty Crop Expo. The event is set for Aug. 12–13 at the Caloosa Sound Convention Center in Fort Myers. The annual Expo brings together citrus and specialty crop producers for two days focused on practical education and valuable industry connections.

The event is built around the needs of growers facing today’s challenges. Attendees will hear directly from researchers and industry experts working to move the industry forward.

Education remains a central focus of the program. Seminar sessions are designed to deliver real-world insights that growers can apply to their operations. This year’s lineup will cover a range of timely topics for both citrus and specialty crop producers.

A sneak peek of seminar topics includes:

  • The latest research on HLB management
  • New data on trunk-injection therapies
  • The search for HLB tolerance in new rootstocks and varieties
  • Vegetable production and pest management

For those maintaining certifications, continuing education units for the Florida pesticide license and Certified Crop Adviser credits will also be available, adding even more value to attendance.

In addition to the educational sessions, the Expo offers strong networking opportunities. Agriculture depends on relationships, and this event creates space for growers to connect with peers, suppliers and industry leaders. Conversations on the trade show floor or between sessions often lead to new ideas, solutions and partnerships that extend beyond the event itself.

The trade show will feature a wide range of exhibitors showcasing products and services tailored to citrus and specialty crop operations. Attendees can explore new innovations, ask questions and find solutions that fit their needs.

Growers planning to attend are encouraged to secure their hotel accommodations early. A special room block is available at a discounted rate of $175 per night, but that rate expires May 1. After that date, rooms will increase to $225 per night. Reserve your room here.
