The 2026 Citrus & Specialty Crop Expo makes its return to Fort Myers on Aug. 12–13 at the waterfront Caloosa Sound Convention Center. The Luminary Hotel, the event’s host hotel, is conveniently connected to the convention center.

ENJOY YOUR STAY

The new venue offers several opportunities to refresh and improve the Expo. The convention center will allow educational seminars to be held in the same space as the trade show, eliminating the distance that previously separated the venues.

For attendees and vendors, the Luminary Hotel is only steps away from the Expo. The hotel is situated in downtown Fort Myers right along the river. It features a rooftop bar and full slate of amenities, while the downtown area has many dining and entertainment options. This makes the Citrus & Specialty Crop Expo a destination event, providing opportunities to learn and network with plenty of fun activities available nearby in the evenings.

“We are excited about this new venue and location because of the benefits and conveniences it will bring to both our attendees and vendors,” said Robin Loftin, president of AgNet Media. “We are putting together an event that will stand out in new and exciting ways. We encourage you to come out and support Florida and Southeastern agriculture, network with your peers and learn from some of the leading agricultural minds in research and business.”

MORE ENGAGEMENT

The Expo will continue to provide excellent educational seminars featuring citrus and specialty crop production. Seminars will also cover agricultural policy issues like the farm bill, labor and more.

This year’s Citrus & Specialty Crop Expo will include more panel discussions between growers and researchers. During last year’s Expo, a panel featuring strawberry grower Dustin Groom (right), along with researchers, discussed chilli thrips management.

“During last year’s Expo, our specialty crop seminars featured more panel discussions and one-on-one conversations with key researchers to make the content being presented more engaging,” said Frank Giles, AgNet Media editor-in-chief. “This was well received by attendees, so we plan to expand this format more into the citrus seminar program. We will cover all the key topics like HLB management, trunk-injection therapies, citrus nutrition, new varieties/rootstocks and more, but will engage with some of the researchers beyond the typical PowerPoint presentation format.”

The trade show will feature many of the inputs, products and services both citrus and specialty crop growers rely on to produce their crops and run their businesses — all adjacent to the seminar space.
