Induction luncheon ceremonies are tentatively scheduled to take place on Friday, March 28, 2025 in the George Jenkins Fieldhouse at Florida Southern College in Lakeland. The luncheon is co-sponsored by the Florida Department of Citrus and Florida Citrus Mutual

Last year’s inductees included both the Class of 2023 [A.G. Smith (deceased) of Wauchula and Gilbert Bowen (deceased) of Winter Haven] and the Class of 2024 [Robert M. “Bob” Behr of New Smyrna Beach, George H. Streetman of Vero Beach and Leland K. Young (deceased) of Alturas]. The classes were combined due to scheduling issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The mission of the Florida Citrus Hall of Fame is to recognize those individuals who have positively impacted the Florida citrus industry and to preserve and share the rich heritage of the industry. The organization is deeply involved with and committed to an outreach program that tells the history of the Florida citrus industry and the people that have done so much to make the industry a dynamic force in Florida.
