Florida Citrus Show

Online preregistration for the Florida Citrus Show closes on Sunday, March 9 at 5:00 p.m. The event is a great day of networking, learning, food and fun.

THE PROGRAM

Between the morning general session and breakout seminars dedicated to citrus and vegetables, there’s a lot to learn. Check out the full program here.

CEUs AVAILABLE

Attendees of the citrus seminar can earn four continuing education units (CEUs) in the following categories: Demonstration and Research, Agricultural Tree Crop Pest Control and Private Applicator Agricultural Pest Control. The vegetable seminar will offer 2.5 CEUs in the following categories: Demonstration and Research, Agricultural Row Crop Pest Control and Private Applicator Agricultural Pest Control.

TWO TOURS

In the afternoon, two tours will take place. Visit the U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service Picos Grove, where HLB trunk-injection therapies are being evaluated. Attendees will also have the opportunity to see the University of Florida’s Millennium Block, where many grapefruit scion/rootstock combinations are being trialed for HLB tolerance.

FUN TAILGATE

During lunch, the trade show exhibitors serve a variety of tasty foods tailgate-style. It’s a fun way to visit those who provide the products and services growers need. It also allows for fellowship among growers. The tailgate includes a friendly competition among exhibitors to see who gets the most votes for serving the best food. The winning vendor takes home a cash prize, and attendees who vote for their favorite foods will be entered into a drawing for $500 just for participating.
