The Florida Citrus Show is scheduled for Thursday, March 12. The event will be held at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Indian River Research and Education Center and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service U.S. Horticultural Research Laboratory in Fort Pierce.
The Florida Citrus Show combines educational seminars for both citrus and vegetable growers with a trade show featuring suppliers of products and services growers need to produce a successful crop. The tailgate-style lunch returns with participating vendors serving a variety of foods from their booths.
“This will be our fourth year hosting the event at the UF/IFAS and USDA research centers,” says Frank Giles, AgNet Media editor-in-chief. “This format has been very popular with growers and other industry stakeholders because it provides an opportunity to see the locations where key research is being conducted and to attend relevant educational seminars on the specialty crops grown in the region. And the tailgate-style lunch has been a big hit.”
