
The Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for 2027 inductees. The online application deadline is Aug. 1 at 5 p.m.
Anyone can nominate individuals whose contributions to Florida agriculture have helped advance the industry and ensure it continues to thrive.
Nominators are encouraged to submit a thorough, well-developed submission that shows the magnitude of a nominee’s contributions to the industry. Online nominations may be made here. No hard copy nominations will be accepted. Those with questions about the nomination form should send an email to nominate@floridaaghalloffame.org.
The Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame Foundation and the Florida State Fair Authority will host the annualHall of Fame induction ceremony. It will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.
More than 170 individuals have been honored with the recognition since 1980. Recent past recipients from the Florida citrus industry include:
- Florida Citrus Mutual Executive Vice President/Chief Executive Officer Bobby McKown, inducted in 2021–22
- University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Extension agent John Jackson, who worked with Central Florida citrus growers and helped revitalize the Florida Citrus Hall of Fame, inducted in 2020
- Sam Killebrew, inventor of a bulk fertilizer hauler that delivered nutrients to many crops, most notably citrus, inducted in 2019
