The Florida Department of Citrus (FDOC) has partnered with the Tampa Bay Lightning and Benchmark International Arena to promote Florida orange juice (OJ).

Throughout the 2025-26 season, fans will enjoy Florida OJ in fresh ways, including in-arena mocktails, pregame giveaways and interactive product sampling stations at Ford Thunder Alley and Publix Plaza. Lightning fans will also see and experience Florida OJ through select community moments featuring the Lightning’s mascot Thunderbug, as well as during behind-the-scenes access at morning skate sessions.

These marketing activities will happen during Tampa Bay Lightning as well as during other events at Benchmark International Arena, reaching millions of consumers around the country.

“Bringing the original wellness drink right to the rink is exciting — and that’s just the start of this partnership,” said Shannon Shepp, FDOC executive director. “Together, the FDOC and the Lightning will fuel performance and create moments of connection. Whether you’re an elite athlete or a super fan, you can enjoy the benefits of 100% orange juice — including game day hydration support.”

Our marketing team at the FDOC is constantly working to keep Florida OJ front-and-center for the modern juice consumer, and this is one of the many ways in action,” said Florida Citrus Commission (FCC) Chairman Steve Johnson. The FCC is the governing board for the FDOC.

“Florida orange juice can be an important part of the day,” added Mark Lambert, Lightning director of high performance  and strength coach. “It includes a convenient source of essential nutrients, like vitamin C, potassium and folate, which support hydration and recovery. When consumed in moderation, it can be a valuable part of a balanced diet.”

Every glass of 100% OJ is packed with vitamin C and has other essential nutrients. Learn more about the science-backed benefits of 100% OJ for athletes and families here.
