Enrollment Open for Florida Packinghouse and Nursery Grants

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) recently announced that the enrollment window for citrus packinghouse and nursery equipment grants is open and will remain open through Sept. 1.  

FDACS is offering 70% cost-share funding to support equipment purchases, equipment refurbishment and related infrastructure repairs for eligible packinghouses and commercial citrus nurseries in Florida.

PACKINGHOUSE COST-SHARE

FDACS announced that $11 million is reserved for citrus packinghouses. FDACS will reimburse 70% of eligible project costs; applicants provide a 30% match. Applicants must be registered citrus packinghouses operating in Florida and process citrus varieties regulated under Chapter 601, Florida Statutes.

NURSERY COST-SHARE

FDACS announced that $9 million is reserved for commercial citrus nurseries. FDACS will reimburse 70% of eligible project costs; applicants provide a 30% match. Applicants must be registered commercial citrus nurseries operating in Florida.
