Recent conversations with Florida citrus growers have focused largely on the significant rainfall the state has experienced. In many areas, groves are simply too wet, limiting the ability of growers to conduct routine field activities. The forecast suggests that Central Florida may soon see some sunshine. For now, I guess we will just have to wait and see.
The weather this season has certainly been unpredictable. We have gone from frost to hot, dry conditions and now to periods of substantial rainfall. While the weather has not been ideal, many citrus growers remain optimistic about the upcoming harvest. Some of the comments we are hearing are particularly encouraging, including statements such as, “My trees haven’t looked this good in years.”
At TJ BioTech, LLC, provider of ReMedium TI®, we appreciate the opportunity to talk with growers about the future of Florida’s citrus industry. It wasn’t that long ago that conversations about the industry’s future were far less optimistic. It is encouraging to hear growers expressing renewed confidence in their groves and in the direction of the industry.
TJ BioTech continues to explore new ways to improve trunk injection technology and deliver better solutions for Florida citrus growers. Recent developments are looking promising, and we believe meaningful progress is being made.
We at TJ BioTech are grateful for the continued support of the Florida citrus industry. We look forward to the coming injection season and to continuing our work with growers as the industry moves toward a brighter future.
