In the ongoing battle against citrus greening (also known as huanglongbing or HLB), a disease that has devastated Florida’s citrus industry, the trunk-injection product ReMedium TI® has demonstrated promising performance. Since its commercial release in January 2022, ReMedium TI® has continued to generate interest and optimism among Florida citrus growers seeking economically viable tools to manage the disease.
Recent research data from Lukasz Stelinski, a professor of entomology and nematology with the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, has demonstrated significant and economically viable yield responses following both first- and second-year applications of ReMedium TI®. As the industry moves beyond those initial treatment years, additional data is emerging from growers participating in Citrus Research and Field Trial programs, suggesting that yield improvements may continue with ongoing ReMedium TI® applications.
ReMedium TI® is now fully registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for use in Florida citrus and is the first trunk-injection product in the citrus industry to achieve full Section 3 registration status.
TJ BioTech LLC, the producer of ReMedium TI®, continues to invest in research and collaborative efforts aimed at identifying additive approaches and other strategies to further increase the efficacy of this performance-proven product.
As research and grower experience continue to accumulate, ReMedium TI® remains an important tool in the ongoing effort to develop sustainable and economically viable approaches to HLB management.
