ReMedium TI® was introduced to the Florida market in January 2023. Since its introduction, citrus producers have experienced a steady recovery from citrus greening disease, also known as huanglongbing (HLB), one of the most significant challenges facing the Florida citrus industry.

Across Florida, growers are reporting renewed optimism about the potential for recovery and future growth of the citrus industry. There is broad recognition that the business of growing citrus has changed dramatically since the onset of HLB. The industry that emerges from this challenge will likely feature a different mix of citrus varieties, production strategies and management practices than those used before the disease became widespread.

Nevertheless, the prospects for the industry’s long-term survival and renewed growth are generating increasing optimism. Reports from Florida growers indicate that improvements in fruit yield and quality may be contributing to a more positive outlook. These developments offer encouragement to producers who have worked tirelessly to sustain their groves and maintain productive citrus operations in the face of HLB.

TJ BioTech, the producer of ReMedium TI®, remains committed to researching ways to improve yield and fruit quality responses. Researchers throughout the citrus industry are also investigating new methods, technologies and products that may help growers meet the continuing challenges posed by HLB.

As research advances and new approaches emerge, the Florida citrus industry has reasons to look toward the future with renewed confidence. While challenges remain, continued innovation and a growing body of grower experience are helping shape a more hopeful outlook for Florida citrus.
